With historic architecture, exposed brick walls, and elegant chandeliers overhead, Loft 1023 has a warm, welcoming feel. What’s more, its location in the heart of downtown Little Rock makes it an incredibly convenient choice for couples who want their guests to take in the beauty and fun of central Arkansas. It’s no wonder guests continue to refer to the venue as a hidden gem. Read on to learn more in our exclusive Q&A with venue manager and owner Tani Joiner.
Weddings in Arkansas: Tell us a bit about the historic nature of this venue.
Tani Joiner: Loft 1023 is located in the West 7th Street Historic District of downtown Little Rock and has been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1918, many of its original vestiges can still be seen—from its windows to the pulley system and original fire door. It has an amazing character and charm.
WIA: Do you have spaces for both ceremonies and receptions? How many guests can you accommodate?
TJ: Yes! Loft 1023 has four different rooms, so we can accommodate both large and small events. The maximum number of guests for the upstairs is 200 (100 during maximum restrictions of COVID-19). The Streetside Room and Copper Room have become very popular for small weddings and receptions. Both of these rooms are located on the ground level. With our separate rooms and combinations available, we are able to create a warm and intimate feel for events with party sizes of 10 to 200.
We are most known for our all-inclusive packages, allowing our brides to have both their ceremony and reception on site. Couples can use from one to all four rooms, with the ceremony in one and reception in others. All the spaces are connected, creating the perfect environment. We have many options and love to work with our couples to create their dream day.
WIA: What types of services do you offer?
TJ: On-site catering is offered, although not required, at Loft 1023. Since we also have The Box Restaurant onsite, it works extremely well for our Lofty Catering services to prepare the food for your big day. We can also provide coordinating services or work with brides to create their perfect vision. There is a warehouse of rental décor available and also unlimited décor options. Tables and chairs are provided with wedding rentals.
WIA: Why do you think brides and grooms continue to choose Loft 1023 for their wedding celebrations?
TJ: We love to see our couples’ personal visions and personalities reflected in their event décor without having a lot of restrictions inhibiting them. We are family owned and operated and have had three daughters get married—so, we know the stress and work involved in wedding planning, and we love to help make our couples’ events as perfect and smooth as we possibly can.
